Paula deNean Bumgardner Shrode Paula deNean Bumgardner Shrode, 46, of Alabama, formerly of Greenville, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in Alabama. She was born Feb. 11, 1963, in Chicago. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Airy Bumgardner Sr. Survivors include her husband, Robert Shrode of Alabama; a stepdaughter, Brooke Shrode of Hopkinsville; her mother, Helen Bumgardner of Greenville; four brothers, Airy (Barbara) Bumgardner Jr. of Madisonville, Michael (Cindy) Bumgardner of Dunmor, and Mark (Megan) Bumgardner and Matthew Bumgardner, all of Greenville; and three sisters, Wendy (John) Sisk of Sacramento, Laura Decker of Georgia and Suzanne Stewart of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Robert Pierce officiating. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
