My wife, Mary and I wish to express our sincere sympathy to Mike's family. I remember Mike as we grew up together in Central City, the high school and from being members of First Baptist Church in Central City as young people. Although I am a few years older than Mike, I remember him being so friendly, jovial and always smiling. He was a great guy. Very sorry. Freddie Smith CCHS Class of l955
Go be with God. You have earned it. With much love to you, June, Amy and Susan.

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I have known Mike since I was 4-5 years old. He was our neighbor on south third when we lived on south second. Only the Catholic school grounds separated us. I can still see him now walking up and down third st. He was our OM&I paperboy at one time. I remember going to see him in the hospital when he had a wreck on the way to a fire. His mother was my third grade teacher. So many connections.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
June.....you know I understand the hurt. God bless you my Dear Friend. Love, Patsy.
I am sorry for your loss.
Central City owes a great debt to Mike, for his many years of dedicated and unselfish service to his community. He obtained a degree in Fire Science from Oklahoma State and could have easily worked his way to Chief of a large city but he chose to return to his home town and serve as a Volunteer. His legacy will remain with us for generations to come. May God bless and comfort June and the girls.
RIP..My friend. I met Mike at Oklahoma State University in the fall of 1960. From the first day he hsd this city boy laughing and 54 years later he could still make me laugh when I saw him this spring. Say hi to some of our old buddies,Mike like Mr R.J.Douglas, Jack Tinker, Chief Buck, Roger Sweet, & way too many of our pals...One thing I know you will them all laughing in a few minutes. God Speed, BMy friend.

Mike was always helpful and friendly from time I meet him 25 years ago. Mike showed himself a family man , community man and a man that cared about others. He always would say to me "Preacher how are you & the family doing" and i believe he cared how we were doing Our prayer wre lifted up for all 3 of you.
