DRAKESBORO – Paul Edward Arnold, 80, of Drakesboro, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at home. Mr. Arnold was born in Muhlenberg County on June 21, 1939. He retired as a deputy jailer from Muhlenberg County Detention Center, and he was a member of Drakesboro First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for nearly 35 years. He was also a member of Hazel Creek Masonic Lodge for 51 years. Paul enjoyed watching westerns, as well as hunting and fishing. He loved going on cruises with his wife of 56 years, Sue Ellen. He also adored spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Hester Arnold; son, Paul “Eddie” Arnold, Jr.; and siblings Charles Arnold, Billy Arnold, and James “Buddy” Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen Baggett Arnold; son, Jeffrey (Sheri Beth) Arnold of Central City; daughter-in-law, Charlene Arnold of Beechmont; grandchildren, Courtney (Chase) Clark of Central City, Nathan (Kacee) Arnold of Oak Grove, Lauren Arnold of Bowling Green, and Trent (Taylor) Arnold of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Asher Clark and Luke Arnold; siblings, Alma Johnson of Morgantown, Ruby Newton of Owensboro, Lois Arnold of Central City, and David Arnold of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 10:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Russ Stephens officiating, assisted by Rev. Tom Stovall. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Michael J.
