Wootie was a second mama to me when I visited my grandparents, Kate and Steve Pittman, every summer from Detroit. She always took one full day to bake for the coming weeks for her family's dinners. The kitchen would fill with pies and cakes and cookies all day long! I loved Connie and Bonnie like sisters, and I will forever remember the kindnesses shown me every summer by Wootie, Buck and Mrs. Loney. I even received a beautiful quilt Mrs. Loney had made when I married, from my grandmother - even though my grandmother, and Connie and Bonnie's grandmother, were gone.Even thought is is very late, I am just now seeing it and wanted to send my love to the family, including Bill and Linda, from me, and my mom, Anna Ruth Pittman (Hamby/Nalley), now 93 and living in Florida. Love, Elaine (Hamby) Lazar

Dearest Bonnie, I will be thinking of you and praying for you as you and the family go through this loss. You have been a great daughter and I know God will continue to bless you for always being there when Momma needed you! I keep remembering bringing your Dad my homemade tomatoe juice when he was so sick and thought that would taste good. Then in the same moment I remember bringing your Mom chicken and dumplings a couple of times to try to get her to eat. You were always there nurturing them. So proud of you girlfriend. I will be with you in thoughts and prayers as you lay Ms. Wootie to rest. I am sure she has a beautiful smile on her face today because she is in the presence of the LORD and your Father. Take care precious one! Love to you and yours. Wendy Sue

Someone forgot to mention how Ms Wootie loved to swing and sway with a few dance steps to a good tune. Sorry I can't be there in person, so to all of you, my sincere sympathy. She will be remembered as my Graham Presbyterian seat-mate. What a dear lady!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
