SACRAMENTO – Ottis Elbie Markwell, 81, of Sacramento, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 11:13AM at Baptist Health in Madisonville, surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Markwell was born August 23, 1937, in Muhlenberg County. He was a crane operator at Alcan Aluminum in Sebree. He was a longtime member and elder at Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bremen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Trudie; brothers Hollis and Carlos “Jimmy”; sister Genola; son Donnie; and granddaughter Morgan. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Scharrlet; son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Pam; son and daughter-in-law Dana and Patti; son Danny; daughter Theresa Griffith; sisters Margola Whaley, Clairola “Tootsie” Turley, and Viola (Bobby) Woodburn; brothers-in-law Clayton Ford and Randy (Linda) Vincent; sisters-in-law Reba Devine and Beverly Gish; grandchildren Jason, Brandy, Ally, and Clarissa; five great-grandchildren; close family friends Adam Wright and Mary Stilwell; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 1:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Bro. Eddie Young officiating. Burial in Gish Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 11AM – 1PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
