GREENVILLE – Norman L. Dukes, 78, of Greenville, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 4:05AM at his home. Mr. Dukes was born July 16, 1933 in Muhlenberg County. He was a gas attendant and member of Union Ridge General Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Helen McIntosh Dukes; sons Timothy Dukes of Henderson, and Kevin Dukes and Mel Len Dukes, both of Greenville; grandchildren Derrick Dukes, Joshea Dukes, Daniel Dukes, Haley Dukes, Brittney Dukes, Kelsey Dukes, and Logan Dukes; step-grandchildren Chris Williams, Ashley Cummings, and Kassidy Day; great-grandchildren Hunter Dukes, Andrew Dukes, John Bradley Dukes, Taylor Dukes, Addison Dukes, and Daylan Dukes; step-great-grandchildren Hayden Williams and Aaden Cummings; brother Bobby Ray Dukes, and sisters Helen Baker, Recie Hankins, and Patsy Mack. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Rev. Leamon Mefford officiating. Burial in Union Ridge Cemetery.
