I am president of the Fun over Forty Club in Drakesboro. I had meant to come down to visit Norma today, but too many things are happening. My sister has Alzheimer's, and they had issues with her this morning re a new sitter.

We remember Norma and Paul from being with them many times at the park for the Thumbpicking events, as well as other places, Drakesboro, Allegre, etc.
Both Paul and Norma came to Fun over Forty regularly in the old days. Like Paul and Norma, unfortunately, we've lost a lot of members in the 20 years that my husband, William, and I have been coming.

I will call Bobby Anderson later today, and let him know that Norma has passed away. He lives in Tennessee, and is nearly blind, so doesn't get out much these days.

We'll miss Norma.

My husband Terry, my sister Janice and I are all so sad to hear of Norma's passing. We had never met in person, but through our many phone conversations, I felt as though I knew her very well and had made a friend. Norma and her husband Paul were friends of my father, Harlan Ellis, since Dad and Paul had served in the Navy together during WWII. They were able to reconnect about 15 years ago, and Dad and Norma remained friends after both of their spouses passed away. When Dad became ill last year and was no longer able to call and send cards to Norma, he asked me to contact her. Norma and I remained close after Dad's death last July and often consoled each other. I am so sorry for her family's loss and feel the loss personally as well. I do rejoice in knowing that Norma's spiritual house was in order, and she was ready to meet Jesus! I look forward to meeting her in Heaven! Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. A special thanks to Norma's niece Vicki for keeping me informed during Norma's illness. God bless....
