My Maiden name was Brenda Snodgrass. I graduated from Drakesboro high school. I well remember your Mother. I always thought she was one of the most dignified and Sophisticated ladies that I ever knew. She inspired me to try to have the same qualities. I just read the obituary. If I had known in time I would have came to her service! Sincerely Brenda S Brewer

Aunt Kathleen was sweet, beautiful, charming, warm, intelligent, dignified and fun to be around. Her stories about her life were interesting. She was a wonderful story teller. She had a good sense of humor; but never poked fun of anyone. When she was 95 years young she was raking leaves in her yard and fell over. Fortunately, she landed in the pile of leaves unharmed. However, she could not find her glasses. After searching for a few minutes she decided it was time for a new pair of glasses. She made an appointment with the optometrist. She was always calm and made good decisions. She reacted to an unfortunate situation and took command. She told the story in such a calm straightforward laughing way, it made me smile and understand how brave she was. When she went to New York City to buy clothes for Charles’ store, the clothes merchants would flirt with her. One looked at her ankles and high heels. He said “You are from Kentucky; they don’t wear shoes in Kentucky.” She responded, “You’re right, I only wear shoes in New York City.” Kathleen was always available as an emergency baby sitter for my three children. They all loved her because she was so kind to them. She was very disciplined with them as well. I am deeply saddened for her loss, but she was a devout Christian and unafraid of death. With love and tears, Al Miller
