GREENVILLE – Myrna Faye Pentecost, 72, of Greenville, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 6:05PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Pentecost was born August 22, 1938 in Muhlenberg County. She was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Edna E. Smith of Browder. She retired from the Muhlenberg County Water District in 1988 and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed watching the Kentucky Wildcats and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy R. Pentecost. Survivors include her sons, Steven L. (Janis) Smith of Beechmont, Danny R. Pentecost of Cadiz, and Gary W. (Becky) Pentecost of Huntsville, AL; a daughter, Angie (Ricky) Gunn of Cleaton; grandchildren Jessica Smith, Daniel (Lauren Jill) Mercer, Jacob Mercer, Shawn Pentecost, Bryan (Carla) Pentecost, and Mandy Justice; great-grandchildren Ashlyn and Dylan Pentecost, and Payton and Presley Justice; brothers and sisters Roberta Fuller of Bowling Green, Jan McKinney of Beechmont, Keith Smith of Owensboro, Larry Smith of Beechmont, and Perry Smith of Russellville. Funeral services will be Friday, February 4, 2011 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Walter Evitts officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Powderly.
