(Greenville) – Linda Sue Hunt, 77, of Greenville passed away peacefully Friday, August, 7th at 4:30 am at her residence in Greenville. Ms. Hunt was born January, 21^st 1949 in Muhlenberg County. She was a receptionist for Purchase Cancer Group and she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Wilma June Wilcox. Brothers Ronnie Wilcox and Walter Wilcox and sister Doris Robertson

Linda is survived by her children Jenifer Hunt and Joshua (Camille) Hunt. Grandchildren, Kobe Holder, Kaysen Hunt, Carver Hunt and Harper Hunt. Many cousins and dear friends also her Beloved Dog Sassy.

Graveside service will be Friday, August 14th, 2026, at 1pm at Rose Hill cemetery in Central City, with Rev. Kevin Reed officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

I’m so sorry Jennifer and surrounding you in prayers .

Carver, Harper, Josh, and Jenifer, I want you to know how very sorry we were to hear this very sad news! Linda was a very loving person, who loved the sun, her flowers, and her pets as much as she did her family and friends. I hope you all find peace in knowing she is at peace now, being reunited with her loved ones. Sending everyone much love, and my hope that you all find comfort in knowing how loved you all were by her! She was always good to Gabi and I, and we loved her as well!

I am so very sorry to hear about Linda. Linda and her family were so sweet and great friends/neighbors on N.4th St. to us many years ago in Central City. My deepest sympathy to Linda’s entire family.

Thank you so much for being the greatest older cousin a girl could ever want! From taking us to the city pool, teaching us to dance, cutting my hair and so many more great memories. I love you!

I am sorry to hear this. We grew up together and went through school together (class of 1967) and she was always a very happy person. I saw her a couple of years ago at Greenville IGA and she had short hair just like she did in school. I pray for you, her family, and rest assured that we will see her again one day where death will be no more.
