William (Sonny) Edward Boyd, 82, of Central City, passed away November 2nd at his residence. Sonny was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Vincent Boyd; daughter, Renee Boyd; son, Wayne Boyd; brother, Donald David Boyd. He is survived by his wife of 8 years Diane Alexander Boyd; son, Jeffrey Boyd; Brother, Gary Lynn Boyd; sister, Bertha Jernigan; granddaughter, Madison West; step daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Doug Busick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great- grandchildren. Sonny worked in the coal mines from 1964 until his retirement from Peabody Coal Company in 1993.
