Mr. Terry Lee Ward

March 20, 1950 - November 3, 2023

POWDERLY- Terry Lee Ward, 73, of Powderly, died November 3, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Ward was a native of Watertown, S.D. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was an industrial painter where he worked out of local Union Hall 156. He loved blues music and enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and all his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Ward and Dorothy Beck Ward; son, Joshua Ward; grandson, Gabriel Ward; granddaughter, Kinsley Sibley; sister, Rhonda Osbourne.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Dorr) Ward; son, Eric Ward; daughter, Kari Watkins; brothers, Derald Ward, Melvin Ward, Roger Ward and Michael Billingsley; sisters, Sandy Wagner, Debbie Ward, Michelle Eisenhower. Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

You touched the lives of so many. Your honesty, commitment, loyalty will never be forgotten. God with Pat, Eric grandchildren, all family. Terry and Pat the most honorable people I was so blessed to call family. Beautiful memories I will treasure the rest of my life. I’m so truly heartbroken for your loss. May you find peace.

It is a very sad day for me and my family. I was out in Kentucky about 2 years ago and stayed at Terry and his wonderful wife's home. My girlfriend and I felt at home because thats how they make you feel. I will miss Terry very much, but I will tell you this, One day, Terry and I will meet again and we will catch up where we left off. How do I put into mere words the loss felt by this entire family? It has been years of grief, of one loss after another -so many losses that it is almost impossible to remember the JOYS we have all shared. The Day Pat and Terri married, the Day Joshie was born, Gabe's birth- when Kari and Terry finally found each other after so many years. All these wonderful events are still memories we share. Our tears over the losses should really wash the memories off so we can remember them more clearly. I pray for all of us today that in our grief we do not fail to remember the Good, that in our questions we do not forget to remember the Answer. Amen. I hope your Burden has been lifted Terry. RIP

My heart is forever broken my cousin Terry was a great guy. I will never forget the time he took me to the Sturgis Rally on a bike he built it was a beauty we had a great time. Wished we could have spent more time together through out the years RIP Terry love you ? Sending thoughts and prayers to Pat and the family ?????????

My favorite photo taken in Watertown the first time I met everyone is of the men Ward cousins. It shouts '70s. All of them lined up, posed with tough guy attitudes. Terry, Carl, Rick, Rocky, Randy, Melvin, Roger . I am sure I left many out. They are awesome. Even though we haven't seen each other often, I hold you in my heart. May Jesus hold your hand and give you strength.
