There’s a lot I could say about this one of a kind Man of God. Elder Acord is one of the best Bible teachers/preachers that ever lived. He taught me to study the word, was a mentor in my life both spiritual and natural, and was not only a preacher in our church a Sunday school teacher. I have several memories of him preaching! Messages he preached still stick with me today. “Jehovah Shammah”, “Promise Is In The Cloud”, “True Essence Ot God”, & many more! The last Bible study he taught to out Sunday school class was “Upon This Rock” in which he taught on the importance of being founded and anchored on the rock (Jesus) if there ever was a man that was anchored in Jesus, it be Elder Acord. He was a preacher who could simply the word of God to any one who heard him. He would make you feel like you were something, no matter who you were. Elder Acord was a fighter, a trooper, a scholar, but most of all a Christian. I will be forever thankful that God placed such a man in my life. My prayers and thoughts are with Sis Acord & family! Can’t wait to see Elder Acord on the other side, no longer ill!

Bro. Acord preached the first message I heard when I got in church. I repented that night and have never been the same. He was very influential in my life. He was always an encourager. My wife and I look up to him and Sis. Acord. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with Sis. Acord and her family.

Bro. Acord was a prince of a man who left a great impression on many lives. I enjoyed getting to be a part of many of our jail services where he would minister to the inmates and he always connected with them so well. I have seen his faith stand so strong in the midst of many hard battles. One thing he said that I’ll always remember- “When you’ve done all you know to do, just do what you KNOW to do!” We will miss him but are glad he’s not suffering anymore. Our prayers and love go to the family in the days ahead.
