CENTRAL CITY – Mikeal Anthony Santoyo, Sr., AKA Madd Mexx, 59, passed away, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10:03AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro Ky. Mr. Santoyo was born July 8, 1966 in Kansas City, KS. When you met him, you will never forget him. He would always try to bring a smile to your face and would do anything he could to help anyone. His Favorite Quote is “Who’s Your MIDGET!” He has been in the Wrestling Business for 36 years. He was on a reality show on Spike TV in 2009 called Half-pint Brawlers. He has traveled a great deal of the world and has made a ton of friends and fans that he has touched with his kindness and love. Preceded in Death: Mother Bessie Santoyo, Father Joe Santoyo, Brothers Leo and Paul Santoyo, and His late son Joseph Santoyo.

Surviving Family Members Include: His wife, Nina Ann Santoyo, of 8yrs (together 22yrs), His sons Charles (Clorissa) Barbosa, Xavier Barbosa, and Mikeal Santoyo, Jr. Granddaughters: Emerald Barbosa and Xymira Barbosa. Sisters: Lucy (Max) Maldonado, Marylou Santoyo-Vasquez. Brother: Joe (Linda Pendleton) Santoyo. He has many “adopted kids and grandkids”. And many family members that loved him.

He was one of a kind for sure. Always trying to cheer ya up or leaving positive comments. RIP Mad Mexx. Never forgotten.

Rest easy Mike. You were an amazing man right to the end and all our lives that you touched were made better by having known you. Love ya uncle taco. May his family find peace and comfort in his memory and the amazing legacy he left behind.

My deepest condolences going out to you and your family. Mike and I had some great phone conversations about the business. Our first convo we talked for 3 hours about life in general. He was very inspirational and definitely made his mark on the business.

I would like to start off by saying Nina I'm so sorry about your loss and my heart breaks for you. Mike was one heck of a wrestler and a dang good guy. He's missed and loved by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, the wrestling family, friends and fans. My thoughts and prayers will continue from here on out. Nina if you need anything please let me know. I don't know what it's personally like but I can only imagine how you feel and what your going through, you lost a big piece of your heart that day and for that I'm sorry. I know there's no words I can say to make it easier for you. Just know we all love you, support you, and you have one heck of an army behind you. Thoughts and prayers always.
