Michael Ray Rice

July 24, 1949 - February 8, 2024

GREENVILLE – Michael Ray Rice, 74, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital in Owensboro. He was born July 24, 1949 in Greenville, and graduated from Central City High School in 1967. He served four years in the United States Navy repairing and launching planes on the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War. When he got home, he went to work for Lewis Bakeries and retired as a supervisor in 1999. He was an amazing husband, Daddy, and Papaw.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda (McFarland) Rice, his daughter, Kelly (Joel) Bradley, his son, Jason (Lisa) Rice, his granddaughters, Emmy and Molly Kate Bradley and Haylee Rice, his brother, Roger (Janice) Rice, several nieces and nephews, and his dog, Toby.
