GREENVILLE – Melody Lynn Silvey Mercer, 63, of Greenville died Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 9:21AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Ms. Mercer was born November 6, 1960 in Sydney, NE. She was a member of Green River Chapel Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, children, and grandchildren. She always made time for craft-making and games with her grandkids. She enjoyed quilt-making, shopping, and drinking coffee with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Rager; mother, Blanche Ferguson; and three sisters, Loretta Bobo, Sharon Whitmer, and Sandy Koller.

She is survived by her children, Tara (Jason) Westerfield, and Matthew (Amy) Mercer; grandchildren, RaeLynne Westerfield, Kadee Westerfield, and Mackenzie Mercer; one brother, Darrell (Sally) Vincent; three sisters, Brenda Phillips, Deborah Aubrey, Linda Rager Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Jim Winters officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
