What can I say? Megan was one of the very few individuals that I trusted and liked from the moment I met her. A true friend is extremely hard to find , especially in this messed up world we live in but Megan was just that. She loved her family and made me laugh so many times with the stories she told about some of the antics that went on on some of those family vacations. She could also be a little irrational, especially when it came to spiders. Example: She once saw a wolf spider crawling across her bathroom floor. She simply slammed the door shut and refused to enter it again. It was only after nine months and me cleaning her entire bathroom could I convince her that it was again "safe" to use her bathroom. Don't know what she would have done had there not been another bathroom in her house. I'm going to miss you, Megan. I'm going to miss the kind-hearted, spontaneous, genuine, true friend who introduced me to lemon drops. You are definitely one-of-a-kind. I hope that where ever you are there are no spiders. One thing I know for sure---that is where ever you are that place is better with you in it.

Such a kind soul. Megan was a joy to work with, always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Always laughing. May she no longer be in pain and at rest.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Megan. We were opening the Madisonville Wal-mart. I worked in the vision center, my then husband, Ray Badilla, father of Kirsten and Hannah, worked as the bakery manager, and my brother, Mark Bumgardner, was the meat dept. manager. We were getting thing ready and all of a sudden I saw this young lady walking toward me. I thought, "This is the prettiest girl I've ever seen!" Her hair was so long, and at the time I thought I had thick hair, but I had never seen anyone's hair that thick and beautiful!! Her smile was beautiful, and her skin was like porcelain, with just a few light freckles across her little nose and cheeks, which just added to her beauty. She asked me some questions about the vision center and then went back to the jewelery area where she was working. Later on I walked over to where my husband and brother were working, just to see how they were doing. My brother Mark said to me, "Hey Wendy," as he spoke in a low voice so no one could hear. He said, "Have you seen that girl over there in the jewelry area?" For just a moment I didn't know who he was talking about..., but then it hit me.. I said, "Yes Marky, I've seen her," I said with a smile.. Marky said, "She's beautiful," he said in so many words..lol. "I'm going to ask her out." He said, with his Mark mischievous smile...lol It was later on that day, I saw Mark, and there he was, walking down the aisle, and she was right by his side! He looked at me and just smiled..as if to say, "I told you so.." I just shook my head and smiled! Twenty eight years have passed by since that time..they had three wonderful and unique baby boys, all grown in to handsome young men,:that they both love so much. Megan was a beautiful soul always, and always loved her boys more than life itself!! She is gone way to soon!!! But she left three strong young men she was so proud of!!! I guess Marky was right, "He certainly did capture Megan's heart.. as she did his. I'm sure glad they did!! She's always been a blessing to those who knew her. I love you Megan, and always will!! Sure glad you said yes to that meat department manager on that day!!
