May Whitehead Kucinski, 89, of Central City died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010. She was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Centertown and was the daughter of the late Jasper Rogers and Nola Snodgrass Whitehead. She was a graduate of Centertown High School and the University of South Florida. She taught in the adult education program in the Florida school system for many years. She attended Central City First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kucinski; brothers Ray, Roy and Edwin Whitehead; sisters Lois Hoskins, Lucille Bennett, Geneva Scott and Daphene Flener. Survivors include two brothers, J.R. (Jennifer) Whitehead of Greenville and Tony (Wanda) Whitehead of Flora, Ill; and a sister, Margery Ford of Bowling Green. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
