I didn't know Mary Sue until her final year or so but I always thought she was such a "well loved" lady. Her family was always present every day and she took comfort in knowing they were there. I told her once "you must have done something right to have so many people care about you and come to visit", she replied " The Lord has blessed me" and I knew she meant it. Prayers to her family-she knew you all cared. Sincerely, Ruth King

She will be missed, a truly nice and considerate lady. I several fond memories of Sue while growing up. It seems like yesterday she and my mom were sitting on the front porch at dusk talking. Maybe the two can sit on a front porch in Heaven and reminisce about old times! May god bless Sue and her family.

Never wanted just anybody in my life.... but you were a good friend and a rare sparkle that always made me smile. Never will be another one like Ruth Fulkerson! So happy to have known you and have the memories. Sorry for the pain your loss brought to your family, Memories never die..
Geneva sue (Barnett) Zapka left a message on May 26, 2017:
My memory of watching Ruth prepare our huge breakfast at Uncle Gabes when I was 17 yrs old visiting from Indianapolis, her kindness touched me.
My mom Erdine Wood always spoke about their childhood love for each other. Later Kenny visited us in Indiana and as teens we had fun getting to know each other.
My sympathy to Kenny at this time of grief and all who loved her.

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passingl My prayers go to Kenny, Janet, and the family. You could look the world over and you would never find better neighbors or friends than Ruth and Claudie/ Kenny has always given all he had to anyone who needed his help and like his parents you never had to ask him. He'd see the need and just like his Mom and Dad without one word he would be ready to serve. Janet and Westley have been the same in serving our county. When help was needed , Ruth was always there. I will always remember that she was among the first to reach our home the day my Father died suddenly. Without one word she saw what was needed and just started taking care of it. We love and cherish our friendship with this family. I am truly sorry for your great loss.My prayers and thoughts are with each of you. Prayerfully, Sue Hocker Harrison and family

I have fond memories of my childhood of visiting Uncle Gabe's and Ruth's place. Swinging on the porch swing and watching Kenny on the tractor. Making butter in his front room in a churn, running in the fields and just enjoying the "country" life thru the eyes of a kid. I am very sorry for your loss Kenny and Janet. She was a sweet person.

The morning my dad passed away, I had driven five hours from out of town and had gone straight to the hospital hoping to make it in time to see him before he passed. Ruth was volunteering at the front desk and was faced with the task of telling me Daddy was already gone. When I expressed my frustration that I'd gotten there too late, she gave me a hug and told me how sorry she was. That was so sweet. I am sorry for your loss and hope you have been able to find comfort.

Thank you Ruth for being a part in my life. Loved your plain spoken personality. Your laughter and fun times in earlier years, how you laughed about the clouths dryer and so many other times we shared. I will keep my Ruth mixer forever as a reminder of our yard sale years . You , only one you..... A rare coin in our journey through this time on earth. Your with our Lord. Your faith in him , was there along with your love for family. How I loved to hear the stories of Kenny just came in. And Janice and her family. That's the Ruth your friendship and memories I will hold dear. Not the one in a hospital sleeping.
