CENTRAL CITY- Mary Fern Maddox, 90, of Central city died Friday, November 6, 2026 at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville. Ms. Maddox was born in Muhlenberg County on June 21, 1936. She loved playing bunco with her friends, making quilts, working puzzles, and was a member of Cherry Grove Church of Christ. Ms. Maddox is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Maddox; daughter in law, Linda Maddox; granddaughter, Vanessa Maddox Bryan; brothers, Bill Vaught, Wendel Vaught, Joe Vaught.

Survivors include her children, Ronald (Sandra) Maddox, Byron Maddox, Pamela (Steve) Boggess, Candace Ellis, Marilyn (Jamie) Stewart; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Jamey Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be held Monday, November 9, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
