We are so sad to hear about Mary Jo's passing. Mary Jo and John were always supportive of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.. When they saw something that needed done they just simply did it without being asked. We had the great pleasure of serving with them on the deacon ministry plan for the church. We watched their boys grow into fine young men, husbands, and fathers. Mary Jo always had a funny story to tell us about something our sons did in the preschool class that Mary Jo taught. She would leave us in stitches. We still share these stories with great laughter and enjoyment when we get together with out sons (who are in their forties now) an of course we tell it just like Mary Jo , full of pleasure and enjoyment. John and Mary Jo were wonderful friends who labored to serve their Master all of their lives. They were always at church ever time the doors opened/ Their love for the Lord shined from the inside out. Their laughter and smiles brought joy to all, and the greatest gift to all us is their witness for the Lord they loved and the beautiful memories that will always live in our hearts. We will continue to pray for all of the family as they begin this journey of grief. Our prayers are especially with you today. Prayerfully yours, Sue and Charlie Harrison and family

All our laughter, our walks, our phone calls, your teasing me.....have come to an end my sweet friend. I'll miss you more than words could ever say. Your laughter, your way of scolding me and your way of being stubborn when I told you what to do and you reminded me that you were the "Boss". I've never had a friend quite like you and I probably never will again. To the family, my heart is broken for you. A bright star has been taken from you, but she is with the love of her life and she's happy being there.
I miss you so much already my friend and I will forever love you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Mary Jo and I worked together at the Greenville Utilities Commission office for several years. She was more than a coworker, she was a good friend. We spent many hours together at the City Building in Greenville. I have not been around her in several years but I have always considered her my friend. I will pray for her family.
