CENTRAL CITY – Mary Franklin “Frankie” Chandler, 100, of Central City, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 7:00PM at her home. Mrs. Chandler was born August 15, 1912 in Muhlenberg County. She was a salesperson at F.H. Lewis and Noffsinger department stores, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Chandler; daughter Martha Jane Shaver; sister Evelyn Camp; and step-mother Ella Doss. Survivors include her grandchildren, Martha Lynn (Ronnie) Vincent and Richard (Mary) Shaver; great-grandchildren Danielle Shaver, Carina (Kelly) Freeman, Emily (Brad) Stevenson, and Troy Vincent; great-great-grandson Braxton Drake; great-great-granddaughters Brooke Stevenson, Marissa Vincent, and Paige Vincent; son-in-law Bill Shaver; one niece; and two nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Bob Lowery officiating. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitaiton will be Saturday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Baptist Hospice Services or Gideons International.
