CLEATON – Mary Iona Bratcher, 79, of Cleaton, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 11:43AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Bratcher was born November 19, 1934, in Muhlenberg County. She was a machine operator at Cowden’s Sewing Factory, and a lifetime member of Central City Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Bratcher; parents Curtis and Mary Hunt Arnold; grandchildren Sherry Bratcher Nannie and Michael Lee Curtis Bratcher; great-grandchildren Joseph Paul Turpen, Keegan Layne Gregory, and Robert Blake Bratcher; and brothers Jewel Arnold, Robert Arnold, Gene Arnold, William Arnold, and Shelby Arnold. Survivors include her sons, Bobby (LaVonda) Bratcher of Cleaton, Tommy Bratcher of Cleaton, Mike (Lisa) Bratcher of Central City, and Timmy (Sandra) Bratcher of Cleaton; daughters Diane (Dallas) Miller of Central City and Brenda (James) Mayes of Lake Malone; sixteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; brother Durwood (Carolyn) Arnold of Central City; and sister Nancy (Billy) Grayson of Greenville. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Mr. Bob Edlin officiating. Burial in Miller Cemetery in Cleaton.
