BROWDER – Marvin Ellis Morphew, Jr., 79, of Browder, died Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 5:10AM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Mr. Morphew was born March 25, 1947, in Muhlenberg County.  He was a truck driver for Johnson Trucking, and also worked in the coal mines, and for Clay Jones Trucking and TS Trucking.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Martha Morphew.

He is survived by his wife, Marta Beliles Morphew; sons, Cary (Natalie) Morphew of Auburn and David (Crystal) Morphew of Owensboro; daughter, Kristie (Troy) Drake of Auburn; granddaughters, Carlie (Chris) Powell of Auburn, Kelsie (Matt) Ford of Scottsville, Caylie Morphew of Brentwood, Taylor Blanton of Madisonville, and Brittany Jefferies of Virginia Beach; grandson, Jacob Morphew of Madisonville; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Linda) Morphew of Browder; and sister, Joyce (Tony) Browning of Gillette, WY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Vernon Cook officiating.  Burial in Mud River Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday after 11:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
