Martha was a kind, sweet , caring person. She lived her life serving our Heavenly Father. She and Nancy (Carr at that time) were leaders of our girls group at Green River Chapel many years ago . Even though my family were members of another church, I was always welcomed to be part of the group. Martha and Nancy cared for each one of us and I'm sure they influnced my life more than I'll ever realize. Calling her nieces and nephews her "grandchildren" sounds so like her and it brought a smile. I'm sure Martha will be missed by her friends and family, but I believe she is in Heaven living out the words of the song mentioned in her Obituary, What A DAy That Will Be, I, too, love that song and now when I hear it, I will think of her. Thank you, Miss Martha, for always being so kind and for teaching so many to love the Lord.

Ms. Martha was an absolute treasure. It was an honor to take care of her. I’ll sure miss her singing. Every time I hear the song “what a day that will be” I’ll always think of her.
