GREENVILLE- Martha Rose Pointer, 80, of Greenville died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:20 AM at her residence. Ms. Pointer was born February 8, 1936 in Pineville, KY. Ms. Pointer was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward Pointer and a son, Jeffery Scott Pointer. Survivors include her sons, Louis Gene Pointer and Anna Riley of Powderly, Gary Edward Pointer and Tabitha McKinney of Beechmont, Jamie Lynn Pointer of Central City; daughters, Dixie Lee Anderson and Dale Jeffers of Cleaton, Christy Jo Pointer and Tommy Bryant of Greenville; grandchildren, Deanna Bratcher, Dianna Pointer, Annette Bratcher, Amber Pointer, Lori Beals, Caleb Pointer, Sheila Garrett, Vanessa Eaves, Ashlyn Pointer, Briar Pointer, Levi Pointer, Zach Pointer, Josh Turnage, Justice Morgan; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Walter B. Saylor and Burchel Saylor of Pineville, KY; sisters, Susie Taylor of Louisville, Joyce Dean Saylor of Pineville, KY. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Robert Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. CENTRAL CITY – Martha Sue Pointer, 63, of Central City, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at 3:00AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Pointer was born July 22, 1954, in Muhlenberg County. She was a laborer with Labor Hall Union Local #1392, and was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and watch TV, and she was best friends with her sister Joyce. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Cloud; mother Mary Ann Cloud; and husband Gary Pointer. She is survived by her sons Gary (Kristin) Pointer and Steven Willett, both of Central City; daughter Pam Johnson of Central City; grandchildren Nick Johnson, Devon Pointer, Cassidy Pointer, and Ashlan “Mae Mae” Pointer; and sisters Betty Hafley, Mary Martin, and Joyce Cloud, all of Central City.
