Sunday, 19Jun2022Yesterday [Sat] early evening I called Kay and niece Cindy Blaine answered the phone. I was shocked. Kay & I had a very nice phone conversation early in April 2022 [I have been in somewhat of a regular contact with Kay, especially since She moved back to Greenville from FL]. I met Kay back in July of 1963 when visiting Sylvia Gilbert and Family. Kay and Jeff Woodruff along with Sylvia spent their free time introducing me to various family members, going on picnics, taking me around to different points of interest in Western KY, including Central City where we all purchased matching shirts and blouses. Kay and OT visited Me here in Maine the year OT had his Heart attack in Niagra Falls. Bottom line I cherish the memories I have with Kay since July of 1963. I am so thankful Sylvia introduced me to Kay. Oh yes, Kay and her family introduced me to "okra" grown in the family garden. I am an old farm boy from Western NY State and it was different indeed! Kay, many you R I P and another very special lady in my life, you were.

I just found out today that my husband's aunt Kay had passed away. This saddens my heart so much as Kay was such a special person to all of us. I treasure the good memories of visiting with her and O.T. and especially when we would go out to eat crab legs (they did, I did not). It was so much fun to watch Kay work on those messy crab legs. I still laugh about that. You are missed by all that knew you, Kay.

Sending our condolences to all who loved Kay. It was a real pleasure to have been able to get to know Kay and OT and exchange visits after Jerry and I moved to Florida. Kay was one of those special people never to be forgotten; kind, generous with compliments, never at a loss for words and full of life. Heaven gained a tiny but mighty angel.
