Where do I even begin? I first knew June while we both worked at Walmart in Central City. This would've been early nineties. She was one that would tell you what she thought in a heartbeat but would also be kind and loving. Years later I worked with her at a Rural King. I was her manager. Those are some of my best memories especially when we would close the store together. She would make me laugh hysterically. She always looked forward to her and Gaithel making one of their many trips to Tunica. She was my friend. I'll never forget when she and Gaithel gifted my baby girl with a bouncy rocking horse. There'll never be another June. She was one of a kind and God knows her smile, her spirit will be missed. Prayers going out for her family during this time.

I have many fond memories of Aunt June and I always admired her for her independence in a time when women were secondary. She was beautiful free spirit. One of my fondest memories is when Aunt June and Uncle Gathiel wanted to take me to Kentucky. I wanted to go so bad and Aunt June went to Dad and begged him to let me go for 2 weeks. We had a wonderful time driving to my grandparents. Early the next morning in drives my parents. My trip alone with my aunt and uncle officially over. We laughed about this every time we saw one another over the years. I am thankful we were able to visit with her last August. She will be missed dearly.

I remember Aunt June and what a wonderful spunky lady she was. She raised 3 great kids and was a wonderful partner to Uncle Gathiel. You are all in my thoughts and prayers

As I think about the many fond memories of Aunt June, the phase that sticks in my mind is her, come on.' Those words we accompanied with a wide swing of her arm as we began some Don Quixote Misadventure. She was Don Quixote, and Sancho. She would go off - away from the boring adults find something to pass the time. When my family travelled to Kentucky, one of my first thoughts ALWAYS was, I wonder if Aunt June will be there.'

To her marvelous family - my prayers are with you as you mourn her loss. But remember she has faith in Jesus so this is not Goodbye, but rather, See Ya later.

May the peace that passes all understanding be with you now and forever.
