MABLETON, GA – Margie Agee Renfrow, 95, of Mableton, Georgia, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. Mrs. Renfrow was born January 27, 1926, in Muhlenberg County. She retired from Ball Plastic Corporation after over 30 years of service. While her husband, Nathan, was overseas in Europe during WWII, her first job was in Evansville, IN making wings for the F4 Corsair fighter plane used in the war. She really was a “Rosie the Riveter”. After Nathan’s return from the war, the family made their home in Evansville, IN until moving to Henderson, KY in 1971. She moved to Smyrna, GA in 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Amos Nathan Renfrow; daughters, Donna Renfrow Klingelhoefer and Barbara Renfrow Scott; parents, Henry and Cora Davis Agee; beloved step-mother, Erdine Agee; brothers, Shelly Fleming, Al Agee, and Bob Agee; and sisters, Ruth Collier, Margaret Shutt, Henretta Smith, and Flora Lee Agee.
She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Renfrow (Mike) Pate-Anderson of Georgia; grandsons, David Scott of Evansville, IN, Justin Pate and Nathan Anderson, both of Georgia; great-grandchildren Riley Trosclair of Daphne, AL and Liam Pate of Georgia; and sisters, Madeline Moore of Henderson, Sue Stone of Victoria, VA, Betty (Bob) Moore of Lewisburg, Kay (Jerry) Smith of Evansville, IN, Helen Vaughn of Lewisburg, Sharon (Jerry) Wilson of Beechmont, and Teresa (Vernon) Perry of Greenville.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Tony Shanks officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 10:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
