POWDERLY – Lou Ann Mason Dukes, 69, of Powderly, died Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 5:11AM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro. Ms. Dukes was born on April 14, 1955 in Jefferson, KY. She worked as a Cashier for Food Giant and owned the Economy Inn. She loved Elvis Presley music; her favorite song was “Love Me Tender”. She loved to travel with her husband of 40 years, and enjoyed watching scary movies with her eyes closed because the movies scared her so much. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Dukes; and parents, Juanita Mason and Richard Mason; and son, Jason Bolton

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Bolton; brothers, Paul (Aretha) Mason, Perry (Sandra Dickerson) Mason, Richard (Starla) Mason, Glenn Evans Mason, and Ricky (Lynn) Mason; sisters, Brenda (Ricky) Smith, Teresa (Tony) Bentley; grandchildren, Brittney Welch, Tabetha Arrats, Kayla Dukes; great-grandchildren, Warren Frandsen, Drake Frandsen, Mia Schartung, Lily Frandsen, Jaxton Dukes, and Micah Frandsen.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with David Anderson officiating. Burial in Carter Creek Cemetery.
