GREENVILLE – Lola Mae Neal, 94, of Greenville, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehab in Owensboro. Mrs. Neal was born March 28, 1923, in Drakesboro. She was an only child. Her grandmother, Elizabeth Eliza Walker Scrobough, was a big influence in her life. Lola was a homemaker. She loved to crochet rugs, cook, and her favorite thing to do was to make paper roses. She married Robert Cordell Neal on June 22, 1941, and they lived in Central City. They had a wonderful marriage of 48 years. When Cordell passed away, she met Carroll Cameron Cobb. They were married June 12, 1996, in Tennessee. Quickly she became a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mother-in-law. She had one son, Leon, who died at a very early age. She is survived by three step-sons and their families; and friend and caregiver Vickie Calhoun of Owensboro. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly.
