MADISONVILLE- Lindel Ray Arnold, 82, of Madisonville, formerly of Nelson Creek, died Friday, January 19, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Arnold was born in Muhlenberg County on December 26, 1941. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a boilermaker for Local 40. Lindel loved his family and friends, especially his grandboys. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything presented to him. He loved to serve his community by involving himself in the Nelson Creek Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. Most importantly, he loved his wife of 57 years, Pam Cartwright Arnold. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Arnold Sr. and Gillian Arnold; brothers, Roscoe Arnold Jr. and Charles Arnold.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Pamela Arnold; sons, Marty (Kate Martin) Arnold, Matthew (Patrick Brasher) Arnold; daughter, Kimberly Stone; grandchildren, Nicholas Arnold, Lucas Arnold; honorary grandchildren Hannah Laffoon, Miley Laffoon, and Autumn Martin; sisters, Agnes Weatherford, Maydean Beliles; brother, Cecil “Gene” (Carolyn) Arnold; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Matt Adams officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 5:00-8:PM at the funeral home.
