Central City – Linda Kay Flener, 78, of Central City, died Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Ms. Flener was born August 2, 1947, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and she a member of the Pentecostals of Muhlenberg. She loved being a homemaker, watching her birds and squirrels, going on vacation, her family and especially her grandkids, but above all else she loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Jean Stevens, and Kenneth and Alice Carter; and her husband, Wendell Flener Sr.
She is survived by her children, Wendell (Jackie) Flener of Central City, Troy (Tawnya) Flener of Central City, Melinda (Brian) Nightingale of Bremen, Chris Flener of Greenville, and Jonathan(Emily) Flener of Central City; grandchildren, Rebekah (Kirk) Luckett, Maggie Flener, Josh (Kaylan) Flener, Nathan (Kendra) Flener, Zack Flener, Rachel (Cameron) Marvin, Jacob Nightingale, Jared Nightingale, Kaleigh (Robbie) James, Landon (Lexi) Flener, Jonah Flener, and Hudson Flener; great-grandchildren, Abel Flener, Lucy Jane Flener, Brielle James, Carter Marvin, Gracelynn James, Camden Marvin, Jordan James, Kennedy Marvin, Rylan Flener, Lilly James, Ellie Nightingale, and Miles Duncan Luckett; brothers, Terry (Evelyn) Stevens, Mark Stevens, Jack Carter, and Ken Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Ronnie Hendrix officiating and Bro. Robbie Knox assisting.
