WHITE PLAINS – Letha O’Dell Wells, 78, of White Plains, died Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 6:40PM at her home.  Mrs. Wells was born May 31, 1943, in Muhlenberg County.  She was a housekeeper for Baptist Health, and of the Christian faith.  She loved to spend time with her family, and was a very loving and generous person.  She enjoyed working when she was able, and also enjoyed being at home and the simple things in life.  Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mable Mayes; brothers, Lewis Mayes and David Mayes; and sister, Daisy Harvey.

She is survived by her aunt, Kathryn (Wade) Hamilton of White Plains; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins.  Burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday after 9:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

I just found out about her passing when my christmas card came back. I did not know she had passed away. I worked for many years with her on sds. I considered her a friend and enjoyed our time together. She was funny and easy going. I am sorry and will miss her soul on eath.
