SACRAMENTO – Leroy Earl Axtell, 88, of Sacramento, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. Mr. Axtell was born on May 2, 1924 in Fraser, Idaho, was retired as a laborer at Fleischmann Distilling Corp. in Owensboro and as a Pinkerton Security Guard at G. E., and was a member of the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Axtell (Aug. 2012) Survivors include two daughters, Linda (David) Payton of Sacramento and Doris (Don) Payton of Evansville, IN., four grandchildren, Steven Payton of Lebanon, OH, Eric (Jenny) Payton of Utica, Charity Payton of Evansville, IN. and Sarah (Vint) West of Louisville, five great grandchildren, Zach Payton, Jordan Payton, Brayden West, Tomas Payton and Sydney West, and a brother, Clarence Axtell of Aurora, CO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. John Butler with burial to follow in the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Sacramento.
