Leona Mae Reed McIntosh 11/5/2008 POWDERLY — Leona Mae Reed McIntosh, 91, of P.O. Box 103, Powderly, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Maple Manor Healthcare in Greenville. She was born March 13, 1917, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Filmore and Lizzie Reed. Survivors include her husband, Frank McIntosh; two sons, William Ray McIntosh of Falkville, Ala., and Glenn Reed McIntosh of Palm Coast, Fla.; two daughters, Hilda Mae Butler of Morganton, Ga., and Retha J. Griggs of Powderly; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. T.H. Davis officiating, assisted by the Rev. J.W. Haire. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
