Charlie “Butch” House, 60, and Kimberly Lynn House, 52, of Greenville, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 19th 2021.

Charlie was an avid gym goer, and never met a stranger. He was known by everyone by his big smile and a yearlong tan. He was a retired boilermaker.

Kim was a devoted teacher who loved her students dearly. She enjoyed spending her free time on the beach, and when she was home, she loved crafting and reading a good book.

Charlie and Kim loved their time together. They shared their home with their two dogs, Wimbly and Izzy. They enjoyed time with their family, and were always excited to see their grandchildren.

Charlie is survived by his daughter Sharley (Seth) Davis, and her children, Maggie and River. His son, Jon House. His daughter, Whitney (Alex) Watkins and her daughter Espyn. His daughter Megan (Josh) Wooldridge and her son Elijah. His sister Thea Groves and her sons Matt and Timmy Groves.

Kim is survived by her daughter Meaghann (Matt) Grey, and their son Broly and daughter Camryn. Her daughter Whitney (Alex) Watkins and her daughter Espyn. Her son Jon House. Her sister Lisa DuCoff. Her brother Michael Garrett. Her sister Hannah Williams. Her sister Sarah Monroe. Her father Jim Garrett and his wife Lisa. And her mother Deborah Hardison and her husband Eldon.

Funeral arrangements are set for Thursday, October 21st at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, Kentucky. Visitation for family is at 9 am and 10 am for public. The funeral will be at 2 pm at the same location, led by Pastor Tony Shanks.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time of loss. I did not know Charlie but worked with Kim over the past 13 years. She was always a joy to work with and a favorite among students. She put her students first and I could tell she did with her family as well. God be with you and your family during this time of loss. I’m so sorry for your loss, Kim was an amazing , beautiful and kind women that will be greatly missed. My daughter Aubree had her as her 2nd grade teacher and she will always be her Favorite teacher . Continued prayers for peace, comfort and understanding during this very difficult time.

I always enjoyed talking with Charlie and Kim at the gym. They were both special people and will be greatly missed!

I have fond memories of Kim. Jon and our oldest share the same birthday. They were both born at Greenville within an hour apart. This is where I first met Kim. We agreed that our boys would be best friends. They were very close for years. Kim and Charlie coached tee-ball and all of boys adored her. She will be missed by so many. Prayers for the family.

Charlie was a fellow 1979 classmate, a all around good heart and friend . Kim was clearly the most invested teacher at GES. Students knew she loved them and wanted them to succeed. And staff knew she was focused on teaching but always lended a listening ear when needed. I worked at GES and made special trips upstairs just to talk to my buddy, Kim. I loved her and will miss her and Charlie. ❤️

She was the most amazing woman I ever encountered I’m so glad to have met paths with her. My heart aches to see her gone so soon.
