POWDERLY – Kelly Annette (Smith-Donovan) Pennington, 54, of Powderly, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 7:40PM at her home. Mrs. Pennington was born March 28, 1963, in Daviess County. She was a graduate of Daviess County High School. She also graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Masters Degree Summa Cum Laude. She was a psychologist and was employed at Kentucky Department of Corrections/Green River Correctional Facility. She was the former director of the Pennyroyal Center. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glen and Anna Bruington, and Mae E. Smith. She is survived by her husband, Larry (Bill McClane)(93.9FM) Pennington of Powderly; sons Jackson Donovan of Powderly and Michael Donovan of Central City; step-son Joshua (Christi) Pennington of Louisville; parents Alice and Jerry Smith of Owensboro; brother Kenneth Smith (Ellen Hanson) of Mt. Prospect, IL; special aunt and uncle Donnie and Martha Alexander of Owensboro; and granddaughter Rylee Pennington of Louisville. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Robert Risner officiating. Burial in Pennington Cemetery.
