GREENVILLE- Kathy Yvonne Durall, 62, of Greenville passed on February 3rd at 8:15 PM surroudned by famiily and friends who dearly loved her. She is now home with her Lord and Savior after her 12 year battle with cancer. She was a member of Duvall’s Chapel General Baptist Church were she taught the nursery class for over 30 years. She had 15 years of perfect attendance until her cancer overwhelmed her. She was an employee of Wal Mart in Central City for 33 years where she was a receiving manager. She thought of most of her friends and co-workers as family. Soft spoken and kind hearted she was an inspiration to everyone she met. She would often take the time to inspire other cancer patients by giving her testimony while taking her own treatments. Kathy loved her children and grandkids dearly and would always take them with her on vacations and on camping trips. She loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing, and riding on motorcycles with her husband of 42 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Deloris Stobaugh; brothers, Ernest C. Stobaugh, Wilbert Earl Stobaugh; sisters, Nancy Vincent, Connie Croft. Survivors include her husband, Bruce Durall of Greenville; sons, William “BJ” (Andrea) Durall, Jeremy (Lindsay) Durall, both of Greenville; daughter, Maranda Durall of Greenville; grandchildren, Austin Jones, Dylan Durall, Tyler Beatty, Colton Durall, Matalyn Durall, Tanner Durall, Hayden Durall; brother, Larry (Patricia) Stobaugh; sisters, Shirley Rose, Barbara Thompson, Louise (Denny) Brooks, Dorothy (Jeff) Kyle, Linda Day; 61 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Duvall’s Chapel General Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. Ken Miller officiating and Rev. Tony Shanks assisting. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 5:00 PM at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
