GREENVILLE – Karen W. Arnold, 78, of Greenville, died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 4:13PM at her residence. Ms. Arnold was born in Muhlenberg County on December 27, 1945. She was of the Baptist faith, and retired from AON Insurance where she worked as an insurance agent and underwriter. Karen possessed a great sense of humor, and loved to garden, and was especially fond of working with flowers and vegetables. She and her uncle Homer were dedicated baseball fans, and could quote stats for the Cincinnati Reds. She had a special relationship with her nephew Terry Doss, who provided much love and care for her during the later stage of her life. She also shared a wonderful relationship with her grandson Jacob, who she shared a mutual love of riding roller coasters with, which continued well into her 70’s. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Blanch Walton; her brothers, Marion Walton, Bill Walton, Percy Walton Jr., and Allen Walton; and her sisters, Emma Jean Walton, Mary Doss, and Sharon Kirby.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (Robert) Conners of Oak Lawn, Illinois; her son, James “Jimmy” (Angie) Arnold of Morgantown, Kentucky; her sister, Glenda Sue (Joe) Reeves; her brother Jerry Walton; her grandchildren, Jacob, Silas, Eliza, and Isaiah; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
