Karen I. Drake

GREENVILLE – Karen I. Drake, 86 of Greenville, KY, gained her wings on Saturday May 16, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. She was born in Danville, IL on January 13, 1940. Karen “Granny” was the heart of our home and family and will be dearly missed. She loved fishing, reading books, gardening, her flowers, puzzles and baking, and serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Doil Drake; parents, Harold and Myrtle DuBois; brothers, Eugene, James, Harold Dubois; and son-in-law James Miller.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Jeff) Gamble, Nancy Miller, and Diana Weaver; grandchildren, Jason Clement, Joshua Gamble, Misty (Tommy) Rose, Tiffany (David) Knight, Crystal (Jack) Kimble, Christopher Weaver, Nikki (Frankie) Wilson, Brandon (Holly) Weaver, and Nathan (Anita) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Alex and Kylie Rose, Bailey Sherrod, Alyssa (Xavier) Eaves, Gabriel (Megan) Weaver, Brooklyn, Jaxon, Elizabeth and Dakota Kimble, Trevor Weaver, Andraya Sheridan, Brody and Heidi Wilson, Isabella and Carter Weaver, and Amelia Weaver; great-great-grandchildren, Oaklee Sherrod, Malakhi Eaves, Oliver and Victoria Weaver; sister, Beverly Osterman; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Mary) Drake; sister-in-law, Shirley Dukes; as well as many nieces and nephews. At Karen’s request, there will be no services, but before she passed, she made her wishes known she wanted all us all to share in a celebration of her journey home.
