GREENVILLE – Judy Ann Whitney, 78, of Greenville, died Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 3:22PM at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Ms. Whitney was born in Muhlenberg County on November 30, 1947. She was a Homemaker and a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and cooking, and she was an excellent grandmother. Working circle puzzles was one of her hobbies as well as gardening with Howard and shopping with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Eula Bell Cobb; son, Kevin Whitney; and brother, James Cobb.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Whitney; sons, Brian (Kristi) Whitney, and Brent (Brandy) Whitney; grandchildren, Braden Whitney, and Baylee-Ella Whitney; and siblings, Delbert Cobb, Darrell Cobb, Becky Schrecker, Jeff Cobb, and Rita Price.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial in Carter Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 10AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
