GREENVILLE – Juanita Reed “Nita” Vaughn, 88, of Greenville, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 5:30AM. Mrs. Vaughn was born August 19, 1936, in Muhlenberg County. She worked and retired from Greenville Insurance after many years of dedicated service and was a beloved member of First Baptist Church in Greenville. Nita often said it herself that she had “lived a good life.” And indeed, she had. She absolutely adored her family, and her family adored her in return. Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Randell Vaughn; her parents, Charlie and Valeria Reed; her brothers, Billy Reed and Eddie Reed; and her sisters, Norma Morris and June O’Neill.

She is survived by her step daughter, Diane Trent of Memphis, Tennessee; her brother, Carroll Wayne (Brenda) Reed of Central City, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Kyle of Germantown, Tennessee, and Michelle (Wayne) Nemeth of Germantown, Tennessee; great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Reverend Kevin Reed officiating, assisted by Brother Shane Priest. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10AM-12PM at the funeral home.
