It's hard to say good-bye to someone who meant so much. Joyce was more than a friend, she was family. She was my headstart teacher. She was the reason I respected teachers - she was the first teacher to paddle me and to tell my mother that she did it. She then watched my mother paddle me. She was straight forward, never pulled a punch. She loved her girls and her grandchildren. I will not say good-bye, I will just say so long until we meet again.
