CENTRAL CITY – Joseph Ray Foster, 89, of Central City, died Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 8:07AM at Maple Health and Rehabilitation in Greenville. Mr. Foster was born February 15, 1936 in Tar Hill, KY (Muhlenberg County) one of 12 brothers and sisters. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to work crossword puzzles on his porch and watch the animals. He loved to go dancing. He was a good man and dear friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe H. Foster and Flora M. Foster; brothers, Charles Raymond Foster, Larry Allen Foster, Phillip Marvin Foster, John Daniel Foster, Eddie Gene Foster, and Bobby Foster; sisters, Ruby Jewell Foster Clark, and Wilma Foster Walker.

He is survived by his siblings, Michael Earl Foster of Greenville, Martha Foster Kelly of Michigan, and Verna Foster Fields of Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and his friend for 17 ½ years, Kenneth Abbott Jr.
