CENTRAL CITY – Joseph Michael “Mike” Brooks, 77, of Central City, died Saturday, September 2, 2023, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Mr. Brooks was born July 22, 1946, in Louisville, KY.  He worked in delivery and sales for Schwan’s Frozen Foods.  He was a member of New Testament Church and was a devoted Christian.  He was an elder in the church and a Sunday School teacher.  He enjoyed time spent with his children and his grandchildren, and he will dearly miss his dog, Pety.  He also enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing for his past times.  He was preceded in death by his father, Chester L. Brooks; mother, Ann B. Brooks; and brother, John Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann DuVal Brooks; daughter, Amy (David) Revlett; sons, Allen (Eve) Brooks and Chris Brooks; and grandchildren, Casey Carter, Paiton Revlett, Andrew Brooks, Alexandra (Chris) Davis, and Heather Brooks.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11:00AM at New Testament Church in Central City, with Bro. Matt Adams officiating.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM at New Testament Church and Thursday after 8:00AM at the church.  Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
