Mamaw was there for me from the day i was born until the day that she passed. When i was younger, if i was sick i was always at Mamaw's house. She would take care of me, even tho she may have been in bad health herself. I spent many many weekends at her house. Every Saturday morning we would have to get up an go get breakfast at Family Inn, then of course lunch at Pizza Plus, where we would just sit and talk for hours, sometimes just me and her and sometimes with many more family members. I feel very lucky to have had her as my Mamaw. Im glad she didnt want to miss my 16th birthday this year. but now she can protect me while im driving on the road and be my Guardian Angel. Thank you to everyone that has supported and prayed for our family these past few days. It really means alot to us all. Happy 75th Birthday today Mamaw. I love you. and I miss you. You're gone but you'll never be forgotten.

Mamaw was obviously loved by many people. She was such a special, and good-hearted person, who would have done anything she could for anybody, as long as she was able to. I wanted to thank everyone for the support they showed our family in the passing of my grandmother. I am especially grateful for those at Belle Meade Nursing Home who cared for her the last year of her life. Most people's memories were probably from Druthers, Family Inn, Pizza Plus, or Hardees, but I remember her more as a woman on the go! Before she had a stroke and was unable to drive, she would burn up the roads in her huge black Cadillac, smoking a Viceroy cigarette! We were always on some kind of shopping adventure! It was because of her first stroke that I decided on my career as a Physical Therapist Assistant, after watching her go through her rehabilitation in Bowling Green. I even got to work at the SKY Rehab with Randy and her other "angels" as she had called them. She was a people person, and loved spending time with everyone. She will truly be missed. I love you Mamaw! Happy Birthday tomorrow!

I'll never forget Jorine - one of the "Druthers Bunch" when I moved to Greenville in 1982.....Became friends and that friendship has lasted all these years. We had some great times - she and others going with me when I was "on the road" on my job. The fun we had. Meeting at Family Inn to just sit and visit - my trips to her home to try to help Joe with his paperwork. Many great memories of Jorine. I loved her. To her children - I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there tonight and tomorrow but just can't. I'll always hold her memory dear. Sue Douglas
