LEWISBURG – Jon Frederic Geibel, 53, of Lewisburg died on Monday June 10, 2024 at his residence.  Mr. Geibel was born in Nashville, TN, on December 29, 1970.  He was the owner of Blackhawk Energy, LLC and a member of the Church of Christ in Greenville.  Mr. Geibel was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gail Geibel; and grandparents, Bill and Addie Birdwell, and Raymond and Lydia Geibel.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Geibel; aunt, Sandra Bonds; and cousins Robyn Bonds, Avery Hobby, and Jim Hobby.

Jon was a 1989 graduate of Greenville High School and a 1994 graduate of David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.   Jon initially pursued a business career in Nashville. Upon the passing of his father, Jon returned to Greenville to operate the family business, formally Geibel Lumber Company. He then pursued his passion in energy production with oil, gas, and coal and founded Blackhawk Energy, LLC. He loved to read and keep up on current events and held his friends dear and phoned daily to keep everyone connected. Jon loved to sing gospel music, and his eyes lit up when it was Karaoke night and gospel songs where in the que. His voice was always on key for anything “Home Free.” On get-togethers you could always count on Jon to bring his Granny’s “Pretty Peas.”

Funeral services will be Friday, June 14, 2024, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday after 10:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
