POWDERLY – John Wesley Stewart, 62, of Powderly, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 9:02PM at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.  Mr. Stewart was born October 2, 1959, in Muhlenberg County.  He was a retired salesman for Miller Building Supply and Malone Building Supply, and he was a member of New Life Church.  He loved singing and was the karaoke king.  He also enjoyed playing cornhole, going to yard sales, trading things, and telling jokes.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lola Stewart; sisters, Pamela Farris, Dojie Harvey, Ginger Gray, Marcia Kay Stewart, and Connie Ruth Stewart; and brothers, James Warren Stewart and Eric Blaine Stewart.

He is survived by his wife, Stacie Rice Stewart; children, Ciara Cobb and Jordan Cobb; and sister, Lydia Stewart.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 1:00PM at New Life Church in Powderly, with Bro. Phil Greene officiating, assisted by Bro. Kevin Rice and Bro. Charlie Browning.  Burial in New Life Cemetery in Powderly.  Visitation will be Sunday after 10:00AM at New Life Church.  Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
