BREMEN – John Wayne Hobgood, 75, of Bremen, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 8:30AM at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  Mr. Hobgood was born January 27th, 1947, in Muhlenberg County, and was a member of Powers Chapel Church.  He was a retired Coal Miner with Sinclair Mines, Hobgood’s Grocery Store Owner, and owned John & Sue’s Family Restaurant in Graham, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Franklin and Mildred Hobgood; brother, Carl Hobgood; and sister, Barbara Settle.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Oldham Hobgood, children, Lori (Chaun) Divine, Troy (Jill) Hobgood and Brandon (Amanda) Hobgood all of Bremen; Sister, Nadia(Benji) Key; grandchildren, Isaac Hobgood, Cary Divine, Joshua Divine; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Divine, McKenna Divine, Atalie Divine; step-great-grandchildren, Addison Robison, Brooklyn Cavanah, McKynzie Cavanah, Jaxxtyn Lewis.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 27, 2022, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Kerry Vincent officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM in Chapel C at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Gideons International.
